GENERAL INFORMATION
DESCRIPTION
SABIC’s LEXAN flame retardant (FR) resin is a Polycarbonate (PC), amorphous engineering thermoplastics characterized by enhanced levels of mechanical, optical, electrical and thermal properties. These materials follow Underwriter Laboratory (UL) testing protocols and offer a wide variety of product options.

BFL4000U
LEXAN BFL4000U Polycarbonate (PC) is an injection moldable non-chlorinated/brominated, unfilled, flame retardant grade with high flow. It is UV stabilized, light reflective and has an MVR of 22 (300°C/1.2kg) and a UL94 [email protected].

BM5225Y
LEXAN™ BM5225Y Polycarbonate resin is an injection moldable non chlorinated/brominated mineral-filled flame retardant grade. It features high modulus, good flow, ductility and low warpage. It has a UL94 [email protected] and [email protected] flame rating and is a good candidate for thin wall applications.

LEXAN BX7241 is based on Polycarbonate (PC) copolymer. It is an injection moldable non-chlorinated/brominated, unfilled flame retardant grade that has good impact and processability. It has an MVR of 18 (260°C/2.16kg), UL94 [email protected], 5VA at 3.0mm rating and is targeted for thin wall applications.

LEXAN DMX1214 is a standard flow Polycarbonate (PC) copolymer resin. Available in both transparent and custom colours, this grade is a good candidate for 5G related devices. Added features of this grade include: Improved Scratch Resistance and Improved Dielectric Performance (lower Df).
