PPO: The English name is poly-p-phenylene oxide, and the Chinese name is polyphenylene oxide. It is one of the five general-purpose engineering plastics in the world. It has the advantages of high rigidity, high heat resistance, flame retardant, high strength and excellent electrical properties. In addition, polyphenylene ether also has the advantages of wear resistance, non-toxicity, and pollution resistance. The dielectric constant and dielectric loss of PPE are one of the smallest varieties among engineering plastics, and they are hardly affected by temperature and humidity, and can be used in low, medium and high frequency fields. The load deformation temperature of PPE can reach above 190°C, and the embrittlement temperature is -170°C.

PPO (Noryl) resin is a modified PPE/PS blend, which is characterized by being eco-friendly, market-customizable, processability-optimized, and productivity-enhancing. Its applications range from computers and business equipment, to power/electronic equipment, and radio communications. Wide selection of grades: injection molding, extrusion molding, foam molding, special high modulus grades.
It can replace stamped steel and die alloy materials for tight tolerance functional components. Its halogen-free flame retardant properties are especially suitable for public building applications.

SABIC innovative NORYL PPO WCD835 molding process:
PPO can be processed into various products through injection molding and extrusion processes:
1. Injection molding: PPE can be processed by plunger or screw injection molding machines. Generally, a screw type injection molding machine is used, and the length-to-diameter ratio is required to be greater than 15:1, and the compression ratio is 1.7-4.0, generally 2.5-3.5.
2. When extruding: PPE can be processed into tubes, sheets, rods, blocks, etc. on the extruder. Exhaust extruder with large length and diameter is better. The screw length to diameter ratio is 24:1, the compression ratio is 2.5 to 3.5, gradual change type, equal distance and different depth, and the metering section has an appropriate depth. There should be a longer straight part of the die, and the high condensation temperature of the material should be considered when extruding and pulling.
